Interview With Jeff Struecker!!
I don't know about you, but I love thriller stories! I have read some books before by an author called Alton Gansky and I had enjoyed them. They were very interesting! So when a new book came out with his name on it, I checked into it to see what it was about. I mean, with a cover that looked like Certain Jeopardy:) Who could resist. So after I bought that one, I was watching for the second one to come out. And it did! This one looks even better than the first one. And guess what? I had the opportunity to interview Jeff Struecker. He is the co-author with Alton Gansky. Please read this through. While there is no giveaway, I believe you will enjoy reading this.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, Jeff? I am a husband of a great wife and a father of five terrific children. I have been a soldier for over 20 years and a committed Christian.
Do you find that what you have been through in the Army helps in your writing? I write almost exclusively from life experiences. Because I have been in the army for all of my adult life the Army certainly influences what and how I write.
When a reader gets done with your books, what do you want them to come away with? There are three things that I hope readers would take away from Blaze of Glory. First, I want the reader to get a glimpse into the courage and professionalism of the American Warrior. I am amazed at the men and women that serve our country and I hope my books help the reader sense the same pride in these great men and women. Second, I want readers to appreciate the sacrifice that military families make for our country. Military families are the unsung heroes from this war that we are going through and I want our readers to appreciate how much military families give so that we servicemen and women can continue to fight for our freedom. Third, I want readers see how much of a difference a personal faith in Jesus Christ makes when life get hard and the chips are down.
Do you have someone you have always wanted to meet? Absolutely. Osama Bin Laden. I would love to convey a message to him on behalf of about 300 million Americans.
Can you tell us about your family? Dawn and I have been married for almost 20 years. She is my high school sweetheart. I couldn't imagine a better wife. She also has been raising our five children for most of the past seven years by herself while I have been overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our five children range in age from 16 to 8 years old. They are awesome children. Dawn and I enjoy spending our time with them.
I know Blaze of Glory just came out but do you have any other books in the making? Alton Gansky and I have started working on the follow up to Blaze of Glory. I can't tell you much about it right now but I am excited about the book that will follow Blaze of Glory.
And any last thoughts for your readers? I want to thank all those folks that pick up this book. I hope it is an encouragement to them when times get hard. I also want to thank Alton for his amazing work on this book. He really deserves more credit for this project than I do.
Thank you so much for being here today!!
Now what did I tell you!! Please pick up his new book, Blaze of Glory at your local Christian bookstore. And please check out his website!!
