Interview With Lena Nelson Dooley!! Book Giveaway TOO!

This book looks real interesting. I will be putting up my review of it in a couple days. The author, Lena Nelson Dooley, is here with us today. I will be giving away my review copy so please read to the end:)

Welcome Lena!! So great to have you here today.

How long have you known you wanted to be an author?
I have written all my life. I didn't know that not everyone wrote, because I was raised in family where everyone wrote things--letters, journals, etc. I married a man who didn't like to read or write. But he reads a lot now. In May of 1984, God told me to become a professional writer. You can read the testimony of that on the About Me page on my blog: http://lenanelsondooley.blogspot.com

Do you have someone you really look up to? Maybe another author who you always go to with questions:)
I have become good friends with a number of published Christian authors, and I respect their advice. I also host a critique group in my home, and the people God has sent to this group always help me when I'm on deadline.

What place would you love to go to? Maybe a vacation spot, or a place overseas?
I especially want to go to Australia, Norway, Sweden, France, and Hawaii.

Is there something about you most people wouldn't know?
I'm pretty transparent about my life. There's not much that hasn't been told. Maybe, my favorite actor is Tom Selleck.

What one event would you have loved to be at? Historical or future?
At the Christy Awards, with me receiving one. A girl can dream, can't she?

Who would you love to meet? This can be a historical figure too:)
I really respect George and Laura Bush. I'd love to be invited to visit them at their Crawford ranch.

Are there any works in the process right now?
I'm currently between contracts, but my agent has several proposals out, and there's some interest. We're in waiting mode.

And any last thoughts for your readers?
If you like my book, I'd love to have you write a review on one of the Internet sites. And please tell your friends about it.

Thanks so much!!
Now Lena also has a blog where she gives away books and interviews authors. Please visit it!!
I am giving away my review copy. So it will be gently read.

I grew up in a little town called Mexico, Missouri. People never believed me when I said I lived in Mexico, Missouri! LOL. That would make a cool LFY title!

I have added comments about you to my facebook and am also following you on Google friend connect. You have some great books. I loved "A Daughter's Quest" and "Never Say Never." Can't wait to read more.

Lena does so much to support and encourage other authors and I'm glad to see her LFY book published. I appreciate the chance to win a copy.

As for a possible setting in this series, I would love to see the small town of Cornish, Maine used. I would move to New England if my husband would go with me, but that's just not going to happen! Anyway, my daughter and I visited this charming town in October a few years ago. Great setting!

Oh make it Savannah, GA. Beautiful, relaxing and romantic. They can visit Tybee Island and the board walk while there. Southern Hospitality
at it's finest.

There are no end of great towns in these United States that could be the setting of a story. And most of the towns would be great settings for either a historical or contemporary novel. The one that first comes to my mind is Strawberry, Arkansas. Doesn't that sound delicious?

Thanks for the opportunity to receive a copy of Lena Nelson Dooley's book, LOVE FIND YOU IN GOLDEN, New Mexico.

The name Love Finds You in Mexico, Missouri, sound interesting to me.

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by. I love reading your comments.

Lena is a terrific writer, and as others have noted, a great encourager.

I live just a few miles from Golden New Mexico so I naturally want an autographed copy!

But I'm going to buy another one for my sister in law who loves reading.

I think the next book should be set in Earth, Texas.

How about San Diego, California

Hartland, MN is my suggestion. I Googled towns in MN and was given 1020 to choose from. I looked for love themed towns. Unfortunately there aren't many in MN that I found, but I only did a town search; didn't do city or township. There are love themed post offices that have a special cancelation for valentine's day and that gave me the idea. The post offices are all over the US. there is an 8 page press release when you Google Love themed post offices (just in case anyone wants to know where to send their valentines next year.)
There's always the option of picking a town and "moving it" to another state which would make it a fictional town, but that could be fun too.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this book. I really like the LFY series!!

I am a follower of you blog.

I think it would be really cool to have a LFY book in Roundup, Montana or Eureka, Montana or Sunburst, Montana...

God bless!
Kim :)

Tom Selleck...hubba hubba. :) Good pick, Lena!

How about Love Finds You in Tightwad, Missouri? ;) It's an actual place, too. Or a Christmas-themed book ... LFY in Noel, Missouri.

I've heard of Mexico, Missouri, Michelle. I think that'd be a great title as well. :)

Thanks for the chance to win.:)
