A Whole New Parade

Every year since I was child I have watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. It's been a ritual in my household. I watched it as a child, and until recently I put it on every year for my children. The Mrs. and I recently moved to Manhattan for a change of pace. We lived down in a rural area of Georgia for twenty years, and we decided we wanted to spend a few years up north to switch things up.

This year we actually have the chance to witness the Thanksgiving Day parade in person. It is going to be quite a thrill to see the dancers, the bands, the floats and the popular cartoon characters of this era in balloon form towering over the many spectators below. I bet it'll be a little surreal, but it is going to be exciting and worthwhile. I am glad I just had a Miracle Ear Free Hearting Test, so now I'm all ready to go. I am extending the invitation to my kids who now live in Florida. I hope they can make the time to come up and spend the special occasion with their mom and dad.
