Book Blast Event Day 11 Pamela Griffin

BOOK BLAST EVENT
DAY 11
PAMELA GRIFFIN AND LOVE FINDS YOU IN HOPE, KANSAS

Sorry about not getting this up right away this morning. Just been kind of busy and with my software not working right, I am having to write out the whole interview. Not fun:( But, today I am bringing you another new author for me. I recently picked up a couple of the Love Finds You books and I enjoyed most of them. There were a couple I thought were corny:) But I really liked most of them. So, I am really anxious to try reading this one. I will be receiving two copies of this book in the mail. Pamela Griffin is sending me two of her books, Love Finds You In Hope, Kansas. One for review and one for giveaway. I am not exactly sure when they will arrive but once I get it in, the review will go up. I will also be hosting the giveaway for about 2 weeks. I should have the books by then:) If not, the winner's book will be shipped as soon as I receive it. The author has been having a really tough time of it fighting sickness. I felt really bad even getting her to do the interview for me.

Thank you for being with us today, Pamela!!!
Can you tell me a little bit about your newest book?
Love Finds You in Hope Kansas deals with hope again given to a family who has lost it.
In 1889, five little impish darlings decide their pa needs a wife and they want another ma. Only their pa, Rafe, has lost all hope, still grieving over their ma’s death. Alison Stripling has sworn off men, spurned because she is “nameless” – left on the doorstep of an orphanage as a baby. She gladly leaves the posh parlors of Boston for the prairie wilds of Kansas upon receiving a letter asking for help with the children. She believes the letter came from her brother-in-law, Rafe, and hopes it is the answer to prayer – but it was written by the children, as a ploy to get their pa hitched to Auntie Alison and secure them a ma. In an effort to get his stubborn brood to see reason, Rafe and Alison secretly band forces utilizing their own plan that goes haywire from the start – and more than once – with often comical, at times heart-wrenching results…in a town called Hope, will one unforgettable family at last come to find it?

When a reader gets done with your book, what do you want them to come away with?
I want them to be entertained and inspired, to feel better about themselves and more positive for their future, also encouraged by what conflicts the characters have triumphed over and the readers can apply to their own lives. But most importantly, I want them to feel more closely connected to God.

Is there a place you have always wanted to visit? A vacation spot, historical monument, overseas, etc?
There are a number of countries I would like to visit, but Scotland and Ireland would be first and foremost.

Do you have a favorite hobby?
I love art, drawing, and similar crafts, and all things connected to the arts (entertainment).

Do you have any suggestions for the aspiring writer?
Never give up. Multiple rejections don’t mean failure but instead should be considered as practice. Keep up the good work, seek always to improve, and one day you will be rewarded.

Any last thoughts for your readers?
Thank you to all who have encouraged and supported me over the first decade of my writing career. Here’s to the next decade – may we all be inspired and blessed! (

And how can they connect with you?

One town I think would make a good LFY book is Hollywood, Florida. I don't know much about the town - but it's a cool name! :-)

Thanks for the chance at winning this LFY!

This is a lovely interview. And I agree, you should never give up on your dreams.
If you like an English setting, take a look at Cornwall. Lots of quirky place names and great scenery.

I would love a Love Finds You In Bethlehem, Georgia story. People from other areas near by come to mail their Christmas cards here so they will be postmarked from Bethlehem. Some even mail their box of cards to relatives to mail for them.

Thank you for the interview, Charity. I'm sorry you had to write it all out and that your software is giving you problems. And please don't feel bad about the timing of this- my main worry was that my answers might not make sense due to bad head congestion - but I've had to manage tight deadlines while fighting migraines and once when I had the flu, etc - lol. A cold seems like nothing in comparison. A writer quickly learns to write under pressure & sickness & sometimes even when it feels as if the whole world is falling apart around her ... it's all part of the writing package. :)

I mailed both LFY books yesterday- you should receive them next week. Hope you enjoy Rafe & Alison's story!

And thanks to everyone for their support. I love some of the title ideas suggested here ... it has given me a couple of thoughts for possible stories I might propose to my editor in the future. ;-)

God bless!
~Pamela
