Well, I only have a couple more books and authors I will be featuring for this event, but I have to get back to my normal posting. Have too many other products to review and giveaway here, but this event has been fun while it lasted. I hope you all had fun and that you will enjoy getting your books in and meeting new authors. Today I have an author that is well known. I am sure you have read at least one of her books before:) Wanda Brunstetter is a famous author who has lots of books out there! I was able to receive two of her newest books for review and I also have the privilege of giving copies of the same books away to 2 winners!! So, two of you will be receiving one book. The first winner chosen will get her choice first and the second winner will get the other book. I am reading these books right now and I think you will really enjoy them. So, read through the interview and then get on to the giveaway:)
Thank you for being with us today, Wanda!!!
How long have you know you wanted to be an author?
I first knew I wanted to be an author when I was in second grade and wrote a poem about a moth. My teacher told me that I had a gift for writing, and with her encouragement I began to write and read as much as I could.
Can you tell me a little bit about your newest book?
My most recent book was released on Dec. 1st. I write mostly Amish novels, but this one is a historical fiction novel called Sarah's Choice, and it's set on the Lehigh Canal in Pennsylvania. Since my husband grew up near there, it was fun for me to visit the Lehigh Canal as I did my research. Sarah's Choice, which is Book 3 in my Brides of Lehigh Canal series, is about a young widow with three small children. Sarah is looking for the opportunity to get away from her job as locktender and find a safer place for her children to grow up. She's offered that chance when the blacksmith from the nearby town of Walnutport asks her to marry him, but a boatman also asks for Sarah's hand in marriage, making it difficult for her to choose.
When a reader gets done with your book, what do you want them to come away with?
Although I do write some historical fiction, most of the books I write are about the Amish, so I hope with my Amish novels that my readers will take away some information about the Amish way of life that they didn't know before. I also hope they will learn something from the experience of the characters in my stories.
Who was your favorite character in this book?
In Sarah's Choice my favorite character is Sarah, who with a determination to care for her children, took on the job of a man in order to provide for their needs.
What book did you last read that really made an impact on you?
The Doctor in Petticoats by Mary Conneally. It's not only filled with Mary's witty humor, but has a meaningful message.
(I am reading this book too and it is a funny read:)
If you were relaxing, what 2 things would you have with you?
My husband, because it's always more fun for me to relax when he's with me, and a glass of iced tea with a slice of lemon, my favorite refreshing drink, which I enjoy any time of the year.
Do you have any suggestions for the aspiring writer?
Whatever subject you choose to write about, be sure you know your subject very well. I spent many years getting to know the Amish personally before I decided to write about them. Even with my historical stories, I always spend several days in the area I'm writing about and learn as much as I can about the period of time, setting, etc. for each of my stories.
Any last thoughts for your readers?
The characters in my stories become real to me as I'm writing the books, and I hope when my readers read them that they'll become real to them, too. I also hope that by the time they reach the end of one of my stories they will feel that they have taken away something lasting.
And how can they connect with you?
You can learn more about me and my books by visiting my website: www.wandabrunstetter.com. You can also join my Wanda E. Brunstetter reader fan page on Facebook.
Readers, one of you will be winning Sarah's Choice and one of you will win Lydia's Charm. First winner gets choice and second winner gets the other book.

Have a read any of Wanda's books. I'm a fan. I think I should ask you to name one that I haven't read. My friend got me hooked on Wanda and I love her books.
for starters I've read Kelly's choice and Betsy's return in this series so I'd love to win Sarah's chance. by the way my daughter has read these two books too and she'd love it if I won this book also. She'd read it too.
Thanks for the giveaway.

I have never read any of these books but would be very interested in reading something new!!
I have read a book by Wanda before, and it actually was Lydia's Charm! :-) I no longer own the book, but passed it on to an Amish-fiction fan of Wandas. :-) I really enjoyed it - Wanda is good with words! :-)
Thanks for the chance to win - my first choice would be Sarah's Choice, because i haven't read it. But I'd be happy with wining Lydia's Charm as well.

I have read some of Wanda's books but none lately, just because I have been too busy taking care of my grandson. Now he's in school so I have more time now. Reading either of these books would be great.
I have just become a follower.
Thanks,
