Book Review of Voices of the Faithful Vol. 2.

I am not much of one to read devotionals in the morning so I was kind of worried about reviewing this book. But I am also big on reading about martyrs of the past and present. So this was one I kind of felt mixed about reading. I also figured it would be good to get into the habit of a devotional in the morning. Sure I read my Bible and have prayer time, but sometimes it is good to get a thought from someone else.

Book Description

A new year's worth of inspiring stories from the front lines of faith.

"A willingness to go is all they have in common," says Beth Moore and Kim P. Davis, speaking of their friends on the front lines who are spreading the gospel around the world and with whom they collaborated to create this book. This second book of 366 daily devotionals features stories of God's faithfulness, written by hundreds of missionaries worldwide.

From stirring miracles to heroic adventures, this second volume highlights those who daily go to the outer limits of spiritual devotion.

A follow-up to the first book which has now sold 300,000 copies.

I have really enjoyed reading the devotions. I wish they had one for in the morning and evening but I have just been reading the same one twice. They are good enough to do that! It really makes me think when I am reading these and you have some from missionaries overseas who are in the middle of persecution or in a difficult place. You see their faith and the unwavering devotion and makes me think about how I am doing and what I am doing. I can't wait to finish this out through the year.

I received a copy of this book through the Booksneeze program. I did not receive any monetary compensation. All thoughts are 100% mine. Quotes taken from the Booksneeze website.

Looks interesting. I also like learning about the martyrs, and those that have suffered persecution for the faith.
