Fatal Judgment by Irene Hannon Blog Tour

Today I also have a blog tour with Fatal Judgment from Irene Hannon. This is the first book in her new series, Guardians of Justice. Now, I have read all her other books and enjoyed them. So I was excited to see what Irene brought us in this new series. Read below to see my thoughts.
U.S. Marshal Jake Taylor has seen plenty of action during his years in law enforcement. But he'd rather go back to Iraq than face his next assignment: protection detail for federal judge Liz Michaels. His feelings toward Liz haven't warmed in the five years since she lost her husband--and Jake's best friend--to possible suicide. How can Jake be expected to care for the coldhearted workaholic who drove his friend to despair?

As the danger mounts and Jake gets to know Liz better, his feelings slowly start to change. When it becomes clear that an unknown enemy may want her dead, the stakes are raised. Because now both her life--and his heart--are in mortal danger.

MY THOUGHTS-I started this really excited. Like I said above, I enjoyed her other Heroes of Quantico series. This one is about a US Marshall and I don't think I have ever read any other books about US Marshall's. I have to say, I was kind of disappointed in this book though. The plot seems to be kind of the same as another one of her books and there were a couple statements I did not care for. It seemed more like a romance with some of the statements. I don't really care for some terms that were used. I did enjoy that some of the guys from the Quantico series showed up in this book. Nick and Mark both were in here. And the play on words one time was really funny:) I would probably get the next book in the series so I could see what happens to the rest of the group, but I don't know if I would keep the series. I guess this was kind of a letdown with the plot being somewhat the same and the couple terms I didn't like. But I am a big fan of her Heroes of Quantico series! Loved those!

Available January 2011 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.

Hi, Charity. I appreciate the review. Yes, Fatal Judgment is based on a protection detail, as is Against All Odds from the Heroes of Quantico series. But the backstories and plots are very dfifferent. At least I thought they were! :) However, you'll probably be happy to know that no more protection details are planned for the rest of the Guardians of Justice series, and in fact the stories are very different than anything I've written before. Hope you enjoy the next two better!
