I have always enjoyed reading different books and seeing how different cultures live. But I have found out recently that I am not a big fan of the Amish books. It is just me, but I have a hard time reading them. Many seem to have the same plots and there's always something I don't care for. This book, The Search, was pretty good. It was different than most Amish books but there were a couple statements I did not care for. One had to deal with a ladies chest. I just don't like that type of thing in my books. But the plot was a little different. I have not read the first two books in this series and I wish I had as it would have helped put everybody in place. Overall, I liked the book. Refreshing and different.

Suzanne Woods Fisher is the CBA bestselling author of The Choice, The Waiting, Amish Peace, and Amish Proverbs. Her interest in the Anabaptist cultures can be directly traced to her grandfather, W.
