Freschetta Pizza Review and Giveaway!!

WooHoo!! I don't know about you, but our family loves frozen pizza! I am not even sure if it matters whether it is a name brand or not, but I definitely prefer a fresh pizza. Well, this past week I had the wonderful opportunity to review a Freschetta Pizza as I am a member of their Fresh Connection and I can't wait to tell you about it:) Talk about a delicious pizza and just wait until you hear about the giveaway... Yep, a giveaway for one of my readers to get the same coupon and a storage set! Just read through my review below and then find out how to enter:)

When I received the box from Freschetta I was wondering what all was in it. It was heavy! And I knew a pizza didn't weigh that much:) So imagine my joy when I opened it to find this wonderful 6 piece storage container set! Wow! This is super nice and definitely not expected:) I was expecting to get just a coupon for a free pizza and then I open the box to see this:) Talk about pleased! Freschetta knows how to treat their customers and keep them happy.

So, after checking out the new storage containers I had to see what my coupon was for. I was overjoyed to find out I was able to try a By The Slice Pizza totally free!! I couldn't wait to go shopping:) I have heard some people are having a hard time finding these in their area but my local Wal-Mart had several different types.

For my review pizza I got the Vegetable Medley Pizza. I am a big fan of veggies on my pizza but the rest of the family is not. So this is excellent for when I want my own slice with what I want on it and they can have the meat and three cheese:) They give you the option of heating in the microwave or in the oven and I chose to do it in the oven. It comes in a nice sleeve for you to microwave in also. I like my pizza crisp and I find that the best way to do that is in the oven. Maybe next time I will try it in the microwave. I put it in for the amount stated on the box but when it was done by the time I still wanted it a little bit darker. So I left it in for a couple more minutes. Now please, do not go by these pictures and think that the pizza looks this dark period. I like mine dark and cooked it this way. If you like yours light and bubbly then you would just cook it less.

My slice was nice and hot when I pulled it out. I love having pizza with parmesan cheese and ranch dressing. I know, I am odd:) But I can't help it! It is a tradition. The flavor of this pizza is nice and rich. I will say I thought there would be more veggies on it as the cover of the box shows mushrooms and peppers and onions galore. I had a couple onions, one mushroom, a couple olives and several peppers. I just expected a little bit more. But the pizza was still good and I really liked it. The crust is nice and crisp and not too thin. I hate the pizzas that are really thin and you feel like there is no crust:) Not that way on this one but not real thick either. Just right!

So, sound like something you would like to try out? One of you can!! Freschetta is offering a giveaway of a smaller version of my 6 piece storage set so it will be 3 pieces. And you will get a coupon to try out the By The Slice pizza for free! You will love it and it comes in several different flavors including BBQ Recipe Chicken, Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom(almost got this one instead as it looked so good), Six Cheese Medley and the one I reviewed, Vegetable Medley. You will love it! I am sure. Also, for those of you who are interested in trying it out without waiting for the giveaway to end, my box I got at Wal-Mart had a mail-in rebate on it to try it for free. They also have a $1 off coupon on their website. And that coupon is good on any pizza from Freschetta!! These convenient slices are not that expensive and are very handy! You won't be sad you tried them. So, below are the directions to enter the giveaway. Make sure to do as many as you can so you get more entries. The better your chance at winning:)

I have always wanted to try the Brick-Oven pizzas, but always forget about them when I go to the store. I have had one of their other pizzas--a 4 cheese medley on thin crust--that was really delish!!

I'm already a follower, too. :o)

Thanks!

Hahaha! You're not odd -- or else, I am too! I have to sprinkle parmesan cheese on my pizza and then dip in ranch dressing, too!! ;-D

All of Freschetta's pizzas look good - I'd like to try the Chicken Bianco or Tuscan Farmhouse!

Thanks for the chance!
