Max On Life Blog Tour With Review

Well, I have another blog tour today with the book, Max on Life, by Max Lucado. This is a very interesting book and I was glad to be given the chance to review it. Let me give you some info about it and then I will then give you my review of it.

We have questions. Child-like inquiries. And deep, heavy ones.

In more than twenty-five years of writing and ministry, Max Lucado has been the receiving line for thousands of such questions. The questions come in letters, e-mails, even on Dunkin Donuts napkins. In Max on Life he offers thoughtful answers to more than 150 of the most pressing questions on topics ranging from hope to hurt, from home to the hereafter.

Max writes about the role of prayer, the purpose of pain, and the reason for our ultimate hope. He responds to the day-to-day questions—parenting quandaries, financial challenges, difficult relationships—as well as to the profound: Is God really listening?

A special addendum includes Max’s advice on writing and publishing.

Including topical and scriptural indexes and filled with classic Lucado encouragement and insight, Max on Life will quickly become a favorite resource for pastors and ministry leaders as well as new and mature believers.

MY REVIEW-I have never read any book by this author before. I know:) For me to not have read a book by this well known author is odd, but I have read some of his quotes. Our pastor's son once preached a sermon using some quotes by Max Lucado and I checked that book out. I was pretty impressed with that book but this is the first time I have actually read a full book by him. And this book was such a good sounding one I just had to try it.

In true form, Max Lucado gives much needed wisdom in this book. Each chapter is broken down and there are questions he has received from people and been asked through the years. And I am telling you, this information is sound and true. I only had a problem with his answer on a couple questions and these are ones that are very controversial and I have a different opinion on them but I still have a lot of respect for him. This wisdom only comes from his years of studying and service. Wow! I was amazed at some of his insight. This is a great book to give to a new Christian or even a mature Christian. You will be introduced to answers you had never dreamed of! An excellent book!

I received a copy of this book from Booksneeze for review purposes. I did not receive any monetary compensation. All thoughts are 100% mine.
