Beautiful, Healthy Body Event Heartland SOS R&G!

Hi all,
Today I have a small company that I am very excited I was able to work with. Heartland SOS is a wonderful company that sells soap, perfume, lotion, etc. You wouldn't believe all the items:) And guess what? There is a beautiful basket being given away to one of my readers so please read directions at the bottom to get your entries in!

For my review I received a bottle of the Nefertiti's Secret Perfume. Now, the name is a bit odd I know. But once I tried this out...there was no holding me back!! I am not your normal perfume type of girl. I like my occasional floral perfume but I am more of a musk scent person. And I gotta tell you, this tops a lot of my perfumes! In my package I also got a note telling me that because these are homemade, they are one of a kind. So when you get a bottle of this perfume, it may be the only type like it! This also took a while to age. When I first got it I tried it to see how it was. Needless to say it was very strong:) But now I have been using it for the past week and it is very mellow and perfect. The scent is almost musky with a spicy undertone.

The only thing I would mention that I thought would be better was the packaging. And this really isn't something big but I am a big fan of first impressions and how labels look, etc. The label on this is homemade and somewhat hard to read against the bottle. Not necessarily a bad thing but it was the only thing I can say against it. Again, nothing major as I really like the perfume itself.

Now, those of you who are wanting to win something from this great company, how about getting your entries in for this wonderful basket? One of you will be the winner of some great products from this company:) I am almost jealous:D

What difference does a label make if the product is wonderful? I tried the shampoo and conditioner and it brought all of the life back to my badly damaged hair after the very first use. It shines again and is soft again to the point where my hairdresser asked me what I had done!

It makes sense that a home made product would have a home made label. It adds to the charm I think.

I'm just sayin...

I know what you mean but I try to bring up the points I liked and didn't like. This was the only thing I didn't care for but I LOVED the product! I try to be fair and honest in my reviews. Hopefully you will enter for the basket yourself. I think it is lovely:)

Of course you're entitled to your honest opinion. I was merely stating my own honest opinion. I think the packaging is really charming. Since these products are made in her home, she probably does not have the capital to lay out for "professional labels" just at the moment. My brother in law is a silk screener and does this kind of work and a start up cost for something like this is around $5,000. So I'd rather have her make her charming labels and pass on the "savings" to her customers. I just wanted to put out a different view on it where you thought it should a more fancy label, it was my belief that the current label fit in with the beauty of it being hand made by someone in her own home and that label puts that vision out there to me.

Of course, I appreciate your opinion as well. It's merely 2 different ways of looking at it, that's all. I'm glad you liked the products as much as you did. Her bars of soap are amazing too. They do smell strong when they come out of the box they were mailed in, but in just one day, they are WAY less concentrated and the fragrance is mild and really lovely. My husband uses the soap and loves it and I'm always saying "HEY! That's MY soap" hee hee hee. I've learned to order more and share!

I can't figure out how to enter the contest. I'm not familiar with how Facebook works so I'll just be content with leaving my comment here. Thanks for posting your review. I've been wanting to try the perfume and it's good to hear how much you liked it!
