MY THOUGHTS-I have to tell you, I was really hoping this book would be as good as the last one. But I ended up being not very impressed with the book. I had read the previous one and thought it was good. I like how Jody writes about former missionaries and preachers through fiction. But there are some things that just don't need to be in books. Especially our Christian books. I was just very disappointed in some of the things that were in this book. The plot was neat, the characters based on the life of Marcus and Narcissa Whitman, and the style of writing all make for a good book, but I can't just dismiss the innuendo's, assault of women from the step-father, etc. I just wish these things were not in the book. Someone who does not have a problem with things like this in their novels will love the story.
