Deeply Devoted By Maggie Brendan! Excellent Novel!

I recently received a book for review that I wasn't sure I would enjoy. I had read one of her previous books and for some reason it didn't really click with me. Maybe I didn't stick with it long enough to find out. But I am so glad I opted in for this one when it came up for review! Deeply Devoted is an excellent book!!

She is staking her future on a man she's never met. Can she learn to love him?

When Catharine Olsen leaves Holland for Wyoming as a mail-order bride, she brings some extra baggage with her: two sisters, her mother's set of Blue Willow china, and a tragic past. As she steps off the train, Peter Andersen is glad to see that she is everything her letters showed her to be. But he is a bit perturbed by her unexpected companions. How will he support them all? And what other secrets might Catharine be keeping from him?

Filled with sweet romance and vivid characters, Deeply Devoted highlights a clash of cultures as a highborn European and a simple wheat farmer learn to love one another and trust God with the past--and the future.

MY THOUGHTS-Like I said above, I was unsure about this one. I am a lover of the historical fiction but never really cared for the other book I had read previously by this author. I LOVED this one!! It is a beautiful story with such sweet dialogue. Peter is so manly and he tries to do his best by Catharine. I was close to tears near the end with the china and I won't say anything else or I am going to give something away. But if you love Christian fiction, this one needs to be on your list! I am hoping that the next books deal with Catharine's sisters. I really liked both of them, even though they are somewhat flighty. Beautiful plot and the characters were sooo likeable. Mario and his wife are quite the friends:) Made me want to eat at their restaurant. I could just smell the Italian food cooking!! Excellent book! Looking forward to the next one!

Available September 2011 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group. I received a complimentary copy of this book for review with no monetary compensation.

Sounds interesting, although it would probably be a little weird committing to someone without having seen them.
