Putting up Fence During the Cold?

This past year we decided to decorate and redo a lot of the yard and house. We put out solar lights, put up fencing, added flowers and did our garden along with re-doing our porch. Boy does it look good!! If I do say so myself:) All joking aside, the house and yard now look better than they ever have. Sure it cost some extra money, but you can't go wrong fancying up a home. It also helps in the long run too for selling your home or just making the neighborhood look good. We did have some funny times though while doing the yard. I mentioned above that we put up fencing in the backyard. Whether you use Fence san jose or whatever fencing you use, it is always a big deal. Well we had a wonderful time doing it. LOL!

For our backyard we decided to put up privacy fencing. Out front we only have small picket fence for the front porch area but in the back we wanted something that would keep the dogs and children in but keep the other pesky little animals out. You know, the raccoons, the deer, the neighborhood stray cats, and the like. So we chose privacy fence. And we were so excited to get it done. We got the one side done early last year but had to complete it a bit later as we had taken a trip. Needless to say, it was fall and heading to winter. You know what that means? You guessed it:) We got the shovels and post hole digger out, the fence and the posts were ready to go, but the ground was not!! It was rock solid and we were only able to get about a foot down at the most. Oh we were so aggravated!! The fence was stacked there all ready to go and we couldn't do anything! We waited a couple days hoping it might warm up but it just got colder. So we still have only half the fence done and the rest of it piled up waiting for spring to arrive. Which hopefully will be soon. The yard will look so much better then.

What about you? What have you done recently to decorate your home or spruce up the yard.
