El Monterey Taquitos Review & Coupon #Giveaway!!

As a family we love mexican food. Whether it is fast food or real mexican cuisine, we enjoy a hearty fiesta food. That is why I was overjoyed to be able to review something from El Monterey. This is a company that sells frozen mexican food that is authentic and fast to fix.

Personally we always eat their bean and cheese burritos. So when I was sent coupons to try a new product for free, I chose the Steak and Cheese Taquitos. Can you believe I have never eaten a taquito before? I have eaten burritos, tacos, chimichangas, rellenos, fajitas. You name it, I have either eaten it or made it but I have never had the privilege of eating a taquito. Well let me tell you, not any more!! This is a product I will definitely be purchasing in the future, and the family has been urging me to get it again:)

A taquito is a flour or corn shell that wraps around meat and cheese. These are rolled into a thin long layer and you then cook them. I wasn't too sure the family would like them but I figured you can't go wrong with meat and cheese, right? Absolutely right!! I pulled these out for our family night and heated them up without showing them to anybody. And the minute I brought them out to the dining room, they dug in. 10 taquitos were gone in minutes. And some people wanted to heat up even more. Which was no big deal as these can be heated very quickly in the microwave and they come out tasting great.

I really liked the full burst of flavor that is in these. I used sour cream and salsa to dip them in and I had three of them. They are very tasty and even though they are small they pack a big punch. I can't wait to try the other flavors El Monterey has available!!

Readers, I have three coupons here that will be going to one winner. One coupon is for $1 off any El Monterey product and the other two are for .50 off one product. This doesn't sound like much but that knocks a good amount off their products, especially when you are already buying them. Great for family night, game night, or even one of those evenings you don't really feel like cooking for the family. Grab a bag of burritos or taquitos and pop them in the microwave. And voila! Dinner is served. If you love authentic mexican food, you will love El Monterey;D

This giveaway will end 5/2. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen. US only as I am shipping. Coupons were sent to me and I am hosting the giveaway.

We like the burritos and chimichangas. Nice to have on hand for a day when you don't have time to cook.

I love making fajitas for my family. Just marinade the meat, peppers & onions in italian dressing and garlic for a wonderful meal.

I like making tacos using different toppings. I also like to make my quick version of a burrito with either sausage or chicken and use taco bell ranchero sauce on it...delicious! :)
