Jennifer: An O’Malley Love Story
Bethany House Publishers (May 1, 2013)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Dee Henderson is the bestselling, award-winning author of 15 previous novels, including the acclaimed O'MALLEY series and UNCOMMON HEROES series. These days, most authors are out there energetically promoting their books in print and broadcast and via social media—wherever they can get attention. But Dee Henderson keeps a low profile. She avoids telephone interviews because of hearing problems, declined to provide a current photo, and will say only that she lives in Illinois.
ABOUT THE BOOK
It's a summer of change for Jennifer O'Malley. The busy physician has a pediatrics practice in Dallas, and meeting Tom Peterson, and falling in love, is adding a rich layer to her life. She's sorting out how to introduce him to her family--she's the youngest of seven--and thinking about marriage.
She's falling in love with Jesus too, and knows God is good. But that faith is about to be tested in a way she didn't expect, and the results will soon transform her entire family.

MY THOUGHTS-For many long time fans of Dee Henderson, this book comes as almost the topping on the cake. Or the ice cream on the pie. Well known for her O'Malley series, Dee will once again enthrall readers with this installment. Get a behind the scenes look at Jennifer. The baby of the O'Malley clan and yet one of my favorites, Jennifer works with children and loves getting to know Doctor Tom Peterson. Jennifer is not a believer in Christ and I loved how Tom showed her Jesus and yet didn't push and prod. He asked her to search and seek but gave no ultimatums or threats. One of my favorite quotes from the book is below. It gives just a hint of what I am talking about. If you have read the O'Malley series you know what is awaiting Jennifer at the end of this book, but if not, I don't want to spoil anything. I would urge you to read this wonderful series and in the meantime, don't miss the quote below.
"God's not asking you to deserve or earn the fact that He loves you. He's not asking you to do something to be worthy of being loved. He just loves you. Jesus paid the full price of your sins so you can be with Him for eternity. That really is how simple Christianity is. A personal God who loves you, wants a relationship with you, and has been willing to go extraordinary lengths to make that possible."
