Needless to say, I am glad I previewed it before the whole family watched it. The movie is full of quirky characters and I loved how Kate narrates parts of it. And the "part son, part business partner" of Mike's was quite amusing. There were several parts I laughed out loud and it was quite entertaining. But there were a couple things that bothered me. One was Kate's boss who is a male with earrings. Sorry, but just not good in my book. And the other thing that irked me was the dress by several of the female characters. I understand not everyone dresses the same way, but I felt like her skirts were very short. Almost to the point of being indecent. Definitely not something you want teenage boys watching. Like I said, I know this doesn't claim to be Christian, it is more of a family friendly film, but still it was a bit much for me. I also found myself greatly disliking the mother as she was nit-picky and immature.
So, if you still want a chance to view the film, please don't go by my preferences on this, enter the giveaway below. You may get the movie and love it, but I have to be honest in my review. If you enjoy quirky people and heartwarming stories, this might be one for you.
The giveaway will end 12/2. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen. US ONLY!!

I enjoyed going to my grandparents farm when I was little. They would have the wood stove going and it was so cozy. We usually would have a lot of relatives over for food and fun. :)

My favorite Christmas memory was when I told my kids I thought I heard Santa and they all looked out the window toward the sky and we dropped Mutant Ninja sleeping bags out of the upstairs window. They slept in them that night and were so excited!
I love the year we decided to start donating to charities in each other's names. That was one of the best gift ideas we ever had and we continue to this day.
I remember going to my grandparents house on Christmas and Christmas eve. It was always so much fun.
