iCoffee Brewer Review with #Giveaway!!

Today I have one of the neatest little machines to tell you about. Those who know me know that I love my coffee. I like it brewed, iced, flavored, pretty much any way you can make it, I will drink it. So when I heard about the new iCoffee brewer, I just knew it would be right up my alley. And guess what? Not only was I sent a unit for review, but I was also offered to host a giveaway for one of these nifty gadgets!! So one of you will be brewing your coffee in a new machine:)

The whole concept of the iCoffee Brewer is unique, as you can see above. It all revolves around steaming the grounds to brew them. And let me tell you, not only does it work, but it looks neat as it does it! My unit arrived and I got it out the next day.

With the holidays and all the stress you get, what better way to compensate and give yourself a break than to brew a cup of coffee, right? As I was opening it I was hoping it wouldn't be a lot of work. There were buttons and stuff and just from looking at it you can see it is not your typical coffee maker.

But I was going to brave it and see if I could figure out how to work it. Needless to say, I had nothing to worry about!! This was super easy and not hard at all.

The first pot I ran just water. It helps to clean out any packing material or dust you might find. I put in my water, turned it on and set the clock, and then pushed start. And music met my ears? Okay, not exactly music, but chimes of some sort. And then again when it was done. The display shows that the water is heating up and that the machine is on.

This is so easy to make. You fill the carafe with how much water you need, add your grounds to the basket, and then press start. There were a couple things I really liked. One, you can do up to 12 cups with this. Most specialty brewing machines only allow you to make maybe 6 cups. This is double that. The paperwork said that you will probably use less coffee grounds than normal and I think that will work out the same for me.

I don't like mine real strong anyways, but I used the same amount of grounds I normally do and it was pretty strong. So I will cut back on my next one. Which in the long run saves you money because you are using less. And the other thing I like? The flavor. It comes out very smooth and rich. There were no grounds or sludge and it tasted great!! Also as far as cleaning it, I was worried it might be a pain because of brewing it directly in the basket. But it took me about 5 minutes to wash everything out and have it ready for use again. Very easy to rinse out. And if you prefer to use the paper filters, there is a piece for it, but I would urge you to try it without.

So, anyone interested in one for yourself? Or maybe to give as a gift? I am sure whoever wins this will be so pleased about making new coffee. You won't ever go back to a regular machine again:) Use the form below to enter the giveaway. This is US only!! Giveaway will end 1/20. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen.

I read how this is different than other coffee makers. It really does make sense. I can see how the flavor would be better.

I learned that it "stirs" the coffee grinds so all the grounds are used. This way you get better flavor. Plus it is cool that you get to watch it.

I read about the process of pre-steaming the beans. I really like how they have designed this...it just makes sense to me.

I learned it took 7 years and 1,257 prototypes to finally come up with the iCoffee's SteamBrew that is able to use less coffee and still give you the desired strength and flavor using the power of steam.

The machine has rotational jets that steam and stir your coffee at the same time, resulting in non-acidic tasting brew. Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway! girlygirlugh at gmail dot com

Drip coffee makers rain the water down unevenly on the grounds while this is not a problem with this one!

I learned that it works about the same way as when you steam veggies. It's even and thorough and gets the most flavor out of the grounds. Sounds absolutely perfect to me!
