Thank you
for being with us today, Patricia!!
How long have you known you wanted to be an author?
I’m not one
of those authors who always wanted to be a writer. I was a reader first, then
when I was 35, these people came to live in my head and they wouldn’t go away
until I told their story.
Can you tell me a little bit about your newest book?
Can you tell me a little bit about your newest book?
Shadows
of the Past is the
story of victimologist Taylor Martin and her search to find her father who
abandoned the family when she was eight. When she finally has a lead on his whereabouts, Taylor returns
home to Logan Point, Mississippi, to investigate. But as she is stalking the
truth about the past, someone is stalking her.
Nick Sinclair pens
mystery novels for a living, but the biggest mystery to him is how he can ever
get over the death of his wife—a tragedy he believes he could have prevented.
With his estranged brother the only family he has left, Nick sets out to find
him. But when he crosses paths with Taylor, all he seems to find is trouble.
When a
reader gets done with your book, what do you want them to come away with?
I
want them to see that God is there even when we don’t “feel” him. And I want
readers to understand we don’t get our worth from others. Our worth comes from
being a child of God and that Christ thought us worthy enough of love to die
for us.
Is there a place you have always wanted to visit? A vacation spot, historical monument, overseas, etc?

I don’t think you
have enough space to put everywhere I want to go. J. Hawaii, Ireland, Grand
Canyon, Alaska… to name just a few.
If you could have dinner with 2 people, who would they be?
If you could have dinner with 2 people, who would they be?
I am going to combine these two. To have walked with Jesus on
the road to Emmaus and then sit at the table when He broke bread.
Do you have a favorite hobby?

I am a potter
and I make jewelry and knit. Not sure which is my favorite. J
Is there something about you most people wouldn't know?
Is there something about you most people wouldn't know?
I didn’t finish high school, but I do have college hours. And I
never stopped learning. I subscribed to the Reader’s Digest and when it came in
each month, I would do the “It Pays to Increase Your Word Power.”
Do you have any suggestions for the aspiring writer? Don’t.Give.Up. I had been writing for 30 years when I was offered a 3-book deal. What if I had given up after 29 years?
Any last thoughts for your readers?

Lay your
writing on God’s altar and then pick it up as He directs. Remember it’s in His
timing and not ours. If I had been published in book form any earlier, my work
would not have been ready. Keep writing and honing your craft so that when He
opens a door, you will be ready.
And how can they connect with you?

My favorite hobby is collecting books for my "library".
Thanks so much for having me here, Charity! Love your blog.
I love that you are a reader Debijot! Thanks for stopping by. From the size of my TBR table, I believe I may have started a new hobby. lol
Great interview. I especially loved the "last thoughts for your readers" very true. No matter what your passion, you should never give up.

My favorite hobby is card making. Patricia's book looks great. Thanks for the interview with her and the chance to win it.
Ann and Pam, Thanks for stopping by. I make cards, using a program called PrintMaster. I wish I had the time to make some like a friend who does scrapbooking!
My favorite "hobby" is probably reading, but I also like to play word games, either online, or with friends.
Definitely reading! Nothing like jumping into a new book
If I had the time, I would read all the time. As it is, I only get to read for pleasure for an hour or so before I go to bed now. Thanks Mary and Sherrylinn for stopping by!
My favorite hobby is reading. I also like card making, scrapbooking, and volunteering.

My hobbies are crocheting and scrapbooking
Nancy and Robin, I wish I had time for scrapbooking! And I think cardmaking goes along with that. I've seen some beautiful cards made by scrapbookers. I do crochet and I used to volunteer, but now I don't have time.
Gardening and reading -- two things without them life would be too boring
I love reading, but unfortunately have black thumbs when it comes to gardening...if you want to kill a plant, just give it to me. :-)
I love reading. It's my favorite hobby. But I also enjoy scrapbooking and visiting museums.
Reading, reading, and reading....and reading while traveling......
reading of course
But also love being on the beach. Not exactly a hobby but something I love to do.
