IT HAD TO BE YOU $100 Visa Giveaway from @SusanMayWarren!

A Christensen Family Novel.

Eden Christiansen never imagined her role as her younger brother Owen’s cheerleader would keep her on the sidelines of her own life. Sure, it feels good to be needed, but looking after the reckless NHL rookie leaves little time for Eden to focus on her own career. She dreamed of making a name for herself as a reporter, but is stuck writing obits—and starting to fear she doesn’t have the chops to land a major story. If only someone would step up to mentor Owen . . . but she knows better than to expect help from team veteran and bad-boy enforcer Jace Jacobsen.
Jace has built his career on the infamous reputation of his aggressive behavior—on and off the ice. Now at a crossroads about his future in hockey, that reputation has him trapped. And the guilt-trip he’s getting from Eden Christiansen isn’t making things any easier. But when Owen’s carelessness leads to a career-threatening injury and Eden stumbles upon a story that could be her big break, she and Jace are thrown together . . . and begin to wonder if they belong on the same team after all.

MY REVIEW-Susan May Warren is one of those authors you can pick up and read again and again. This new novel, It Had To Be You, is part of the Christiansen Family series but if you have read any of her other books, you just might recognize some of the characters. They go all the way back to the Deep Haven series:)

This book is about Eden Christiansen. Her whole family seems to be gifted or have some sort of talent, except her. She is the cheerleader, the one who stands on the sidelines and helps others. Her brother Owen is an up and coming hockey star who is following in the footsteps of bad boy enforcer, J Hammer. But as much as Eden vows to stay away from Jace Hammer, he somehow ends up helping her out of trouble, time and again. I really liked the character development of Eden. You see her grow and change. There was one part with Owen that kinda threw me off. I guess you don't expect things overnight and with him it was abrupt. Sorry to be vague but I don't want to give anything away.

One of my favorite parts is when Eden is talking to Jace about your life as a Christian. And the things she said(okay, what Susan Warren wrote) really stuck with me. Enough that I want to share a little bit of it with you as I end. Maybe it will be a help to someone. Just let it sink in. Really sink in.

"You are God's child, and that means He's crazy about you. And that doesn't change because you do something stupid- or even do something terrible. God's love simply is. We can't sin it away- our only option is to accept it or reject it."
