Mom's Night Out DVD #Review & 2 Winner #Giveaway!!

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and fun - a long-needed moms' night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation, and food not served in a bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for a few hours ... what could go wrong?

MY REVIEW-I watched this movie expecting something comedy but also filled with lessons. I was somewhat disappointed in a few areas but let me get to that later. The movie deals mainly with one woman, Allyson, but also concerns two other women. Izzy(her best friend) and Sondra(the Pastor's wife). Allyson feels like her life is out of control, she never gets time away from the kids and isn't able to have time by herself. She views the other women as having the perfect life and doesn't see they all have their own problems. So finally these moms decide to have a night out. It is one night and the men will be watching the children. It couldn't be that bad, right???

I have to admit, I laughed through a lot of this. It is filled with funny humor and comedy bits. The characters are bright at what they do. The plot and story line was interesting and several parts were laugh out loud hilarious!! I did have a few problems with it. One is that there was very little Christianity in it. During one spot there is a minor talk about God but it is somewhat vague and very minor. The other problem I had was the whole aspect of the mother not being able to teach her children to obey, her life is a mess without her being able to control things. The kids just needed some discipline and teaching. This just kind of irked me a little. I understand bad days and all but this was just chaotic. I wish it had been shown a little bit better.

Overall a funny movie that makes you think of your mom more and what she goes through every day. Take a few minutes and thank your mother today, maybe even give her some flowers or something:) Or purchase her this movie for fun!!

My favorite date night movie idea is Dinner and a movie. BWallace1980(at)Hotmail(d0t)com

When the kids were younger, our favorite date night was putting them to bed early so we could watch a movie together and often we'd have a late dinner while we watched it...date night without paying a sitter.
Now our kids are older and we like to leave them and go for dinner and window shopping.

Would love to watch this movie -could use a few laughs! I'm sorry, though that it doesn't have more Christian content.

I think going out to eat, then bowling or miniature golf is a fun date.

One of our best date nights was when we just lounged around the pool with a glass of wine after the kids were in bed!

Since I'm a baseball nut, a Texas Rangers baseball game is my favorite date night.

A picnic in the park, usually in the fall.

My husband and I love to go to the park and feed the ducks. We buy a loaf of bread or box of crackers, sit on a bench, and talk. It's so relaxing.
