Saturday Night Game Night!! With $25 Family Christian Certificate #Giveaway! @FamilyChristian

At least once a week we have what is known around our house as family night. This means for a couple hours we have fun, play games, read books together, play volleyball, etc. It is just a night to relax and enjoy each other. This past Saturday we had the fun of trying out a new game. And ever since then we have been playing it at night and even took it on a trip:) The American Bible Challenge Board Game is our new go to game for family night!!

We always have an assortment of snacks so this night we had ice cream sundaes. Yep, we love our ice cream:) Even in the cold weather! It took us a few minutes to figure out what all the categories were but once we learned them, we spent an hour playing it.

We often play Bible trivia games but with the younger ones it is harder to do. We end up doing teams and they normally just sit there while the older person on the team answers the questions. So I was really hoping that this game would not be that way. Let me show you what I found!

The board itself is bright and colorful and draws the eye. There are two sets of cards, one with books of the Bible on it and the other set is question cards. These are broken down into different categories such as Bible or Bogus(a personal favorite in the family), Godspell, Where in the Word, The Chosen Two(another favorite), and Acts Together.

These are not all of them but just so you get the feel of it. The whole game is very family oriented. Not just the level of questions, but the categories themselves. Take the Acts Together. In this one the team has to do charades. One person acts while the other one guesses. The Godspell is spelling with easy and hard options. Bible or Bogus was a favorite and there is a quote that may or may not be in the Bible.

The game is so fun!! We were expecting a Bible game that would be good for the whole family but not entertaining. We were soo wrong! This is definitely one I would urge families to pick up. Play it for family night, use it for school as we have done or just for fun. Oh, and this was the winning team:)

Is anyone interested in winning an appreciation gift certificate to Family Christian Stores? I personally love this store! Their values and the way they handle business makes me stand behind them. And one of you will win this $25 certificate!! US ONLY!! Giveaway will end 11/19. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen.

My favorite board game is Parcheesi, but lately, we've played a lot of the game "Spot It!". It's a fast paced find it game...but not officially a board game.

Currently it's a tie between Pandemic (a collaborative where you try to save the world from rampant disease) and Discworld: Ankh-Morpork (based on a series of fantasy satires by Terry Pratchett). We play a lot of tabletop games!
