For Such A Time As This Children's Book with #Review! #FCblogger

So is everyone happily getting their Christmas shopping done? I know we have been super busy with friends visiting and sick children so shopping has taken somewhat of a back seat. But I don't want to take away from telling you all about these wonderful gifts I have found and continue to find. Today I have a book that would be great for young girls or to put in a Church library! I mean it, For Such a Time As This, was amazing.

From bestselling author Angie Smith comes her second children’s book, For Such a Time as This, a Bible storybook for girls that features 40 biblical retellings from prominent women in both the Old and New Testament. Illustrated once more by Breezy Brookshire, For Such A Time As This is the pair’s second children’s book together following the success of Audrey Bunny.

Captivating stories come to life when each woman from the Bible tells her story. From Eve to Sarah and Hagar to Mary Magdalene and more, these stories capture how God has moved from the beginning of time. With keen attention to detail and historical accuracy, these stories are specifically geared toward girls ages six to ten. At the end of each story, there is a summary with reflections and a highlighted attribute of God.

I had never heard of the author before, though she seems to be pretty popular. The thing that drew me on this book was the design. I have a little sister who loves reading Bible stories. And Esther happens to be her favorite. She has always been drawn to this Jewish queen and has watched all the movies. There aren't many books though that she is able to read. So when she saw this one, her joy was all over her face:)

This book really is amazing. The illustrations inside are intricate and full of detail. That alone would make a child sit down and look at the pictures. But the stories are wonderful as well. The author brings everything down to their level and makes it understandable for the younger mind. This would be excellent to read at bedtime as a storybook. It was a bit young for my sister but she still loved reading it. Great as a holiday gift from a parent or a grandparent. Excellent book!

Anyone ready for a giveaway? One winner will receive a $25 Family Christian Stores appreciation certificate so they can purchase this book, or anything else you would like. Believe me, they have so many good products I could spend way more money than I should there:) The giveaway will end 12/22. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be picked. THANKS!
