Sometimes It Takes a Mountain #Review & #Giveaway Gaither Vocal Band #CD

I received product in exchange of an honest review. All thoughts are 100% mine. This post may contain affiliate links.

MY REVIEW-I have to admit, this group here is one that I have never really listened to. I have heard a whole lot about them. I have seen them at National Quartet Convention but I don't have any of their CD's, nor have I ever really taken the time to listen to a whole CD. I like southern gospel but I have my favorites and don't sway from them much. But I was offered the chance to review their newest one, Sometimes It Takes A Mountain, and I found that I enjoyed it more than I had expected!

The style is a little more upbeat than what I normally listen to but not in a wrong way, just different. The songs range from quiet and calming to fast tempo that makes your foot tap;) My absolute favorite was We Are Coming Home at Last. Wow! The words just speak to you like none of the others. At least in my experience with the CD. Happy Rhythm reminded me of an older vintage song which made sense when I saw Mosie Lister was the one who wrote it. This gentleman wrote songs like you wouldn't believe! Chances are you have either sung one of his songs or heard them more than once. Needless to say GVB brings some new flair to this song.

I liked that several different events are proclaimed throughout the album. We have songs for Easter and the Resurrection(one with that title), but the whole cd isn't about one event alone. The harmony is excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed the album. Kudos to Gaither Vocal Band for making a CD ring out like this one does!

I was offered the opportunity to also host a giveaway for this new CD, Sometimes it Takes a Mountain and I am sure one of you will love winning it! Would make an excellent gift. Enter below!! Giveaway will end 12/17. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen. USA ONLY!

My taste in Christian music is based on my mood. I am going to see the Gaither Band in a few weeks so am very excited about that! But I also like Top 40 and old hymns. I guess a positive message for every mood is what I'm looking for!

I love all genres but my favorite has to be Contemporary Christian! I think I have all types on hand though!

That's a difficult question for me to answer, as I don't listen to much music anymore. I have favorite songs and a few favorite groups that I occasionally listen to--mostly on YouTube. I do enjoy the Gaither Vocal Band on TV.

We listen to a wide range of music based upon what we're doing or what mood we're in. :)
