MY THOUGHTS-Wowza!! I was totally blown away by how well Terri Blackstock not only penned an excellent novel but also wrapped everything up the way it should be. In typical Blackstock fashion she opens the book with a bang and doesn't leave you waiting for the action. I do have to say though, I am terribly sad to see this series end. The Moonlighters has been one of those that wormed its way into my heart and became one of my favorites.
If you have read the other books than many of the characters will be familiar to you. If not, I would urge you to read them in order. Otherwise it might get a bit confusing trying to keep everything straight. This installment deals mainly with Holly Cramer. Holly has had problems all her life and basically messed everything up. She has a daughter out of wedlock, never told the father about his child, and even though he takes both of them hostage, she still finds herself loving him. Creed Kershaw, the father and hostage taker, is one of those guys you don't want to like but end up having feelings for. You see why he does the things he did and why the two of them are so perfect for each other. And let me tell you, when Holly is explaining to him how the Lord can still change your life and then throw you bread crumbs? Well that right there had me close to tears.
This is one of those books that has you turning pages and burning the midnight oil to finish. Another excellent book from Terri Blackstock!! Her novels always end up on my keeper shelf:)
