Gorton's #SmartandCrunchy Fish Review & #Giveaway!

For those of you who know me, I am attempting to lose weight through my eating and exercise. I don't want to lose weight by binge dieting but in a sensible manner. One of the big things I have been including is fish. I eat it grilled, poached, steamed, from a can, in salads and over brown rice, etc. I love fish!! So when Gorton's contacted me about doing a review of their new Smart and Crunchy options, I jumped at the chance!

When my package arrived, I found a little stuffed fish stick mascot, two aprons(one for an adult and one for a child), and five coupons to try out Gorton's Fish. I couldn't believe there were five coupons but that gave me the chance to get a few different choices from their fish line. The Smart and Crunchy only comes in fish stick or fillets. But I also got a couple other products as I am a big fan of Gorton's:)

My personal favorite out of the two would have to be the Fillets. I am not much on sticks but I did try them out. For me the thing that caught my attention is the 100% wild-caught Alaska Pollock and that they are crispy, not fried. The fish is breaded in panko crumbs which makes them crunchy but also a little bit better for you.

We had friends visiting the one day so I pulled these out for dinner and made up a bunch of them as well as rice. I enjoyed having a good meal without being pulled away from my friends and spending a lot of time in the kitchen.

My other favorite from Gorton's is the somewhat new Simply Bake Fillets. The Salmon Roasted Garlic and Butter was amazing!! I love how this comes out perfectly without any fuss at all. Throw it in the oven and turn on the timer.

Then 24 minutes later your fish come out looking like you have spent major amounts of time in the kitchen but definitely not true. And this is perfect for my diet. Tasty and baked so you don't have any breading to worry about. And we all know that salmon is superb for your health. No artificial flavors or MSG!! I love it!

For anyone wanting to eat healthier or make better meals for your family, Gorton's is one of the best. I can't help but put them on the meal plan at least twice a week and many times more often than that. For those of you who have children that think fish is disgusting, be sure to try the fish sticks. Even the one in our family who doesn't care for fish will eat them. Not very fishy tasting:)

Who is up for a giveaway? One of my readers will win a prize pack from Gorton's that includes a Smart Crunchyman Plush Stuffy, two aprons(one for an adult and one for a child) and two full value product coupons. This means you get to cook with your kids in the kitchen!! With free food:) The giveaway will end 4/21 and winner will be chosen through Random.org. They will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be picked. USA ONLY!!

I like their fish patties. I bake a whole box at one time and put them on buns and freeze individually to take to work or for a quick lunch at home.
