90 Minutes in Heaven The Movie! Book #Review and #Giveaway #HOPELIVES #FLYBY

Well, I just have to say something. This is sooooo not fair!! For the promotion of 90 Minutes in Heaven the Movie, I was sent a screener view of the opening scene. Yep, you heard that right, ONLY the opening scene. How could they?? Need I say that I am hyped about this new movie coming out tomorrow in theaters? Be sure to see it on September 11th at a theater near you.

To appease my minor frustration over not being able to see the whole movie, I also received a copy of the book, 90 Minutes in Heaven. This is the new movie edition, but also contains the original part of the book as well as updates from Don Piper. I also have to admit that I had never really sat down and read the whole book, though I have skimmed different parts of it in the past. So it was like sitting down to read a new book for me. Which I did in exactly four hours. The story thoroughly amazed me and I found myself enthralled not only with the account of what happened in heaven but also the authors life afterwards. Sent chills through me. Seeing the car wreck and reading how this man was dead, being prayed over for 90 minutes and then what he was actually seeing on his side. Wow, what an amazing true account!

So, anyone interested in going to see this in the theaters? I would urge you to go. I cannot wait til it is near me. The book is good but I really want to see the movie. You can check out the 90 Minutes in Heaven Movie site and find out showtimes, more about the film, etc. Also be sure to watch the trailer above.

I read the book when it first came out and have reread many parts of it several times. I gave one copy to a friend who was having a hard time after a loss in her life. I really love this miracle. Sometimes, I find myself having the sin of doubt about this story. I absolutely do not want to have doubts that he is telling exactly what happened instead of "reacting" in pain. I pray for these sinful nagging thoughts from Satan to be banished from my thoughts and emotions in the powerful name of Jesus Christ who defeated all sin including even a little bit of doubt and fear and anxiety on the cross and by raising from the dead 3 days later im complete victory! I do wish the book went into more detail about heaven itself and any other experiences he while there. I read a review tiday by a responsible and true Christian leader who agreed with me and mentioned he would have hoped they would have added more detail for the movie. I don't know if Mr. Piper saw a lot more to even be able to share more, however, I seem to recall him saying either in his book or an article that he didn't tell everything. I could be very wrong about that.

I haven't read this original book before but it sounds like such a great read. I love stories like these of people overcoming obstacles and persevering. Thank-you for this chance. :)
