Interview With Hannah Alexander and Book Giveaway!

Today we have Hannah Alexander with us! This is actually the pen name of a couple who write great suspense and mystery books. They have offered to give one of my a copy of their new book, A Killing Frost.

Thank you for being with us today! How long have you known you wanted to be an author?
I've made up stories and songs and poems since before I could read or write, so I've known for a very long time what I wanted to do.
When a reader gets done with your book, what do you want them to come away with?
I'd like my readers to be able to say, "Wow, that was a great story, loved the ending!" And then I want them to remember the story over the next few days and think about the characters, and dwell on the love, forgiveness, faith through trials, or whatever other theme happened to come through for them.

Can you tell me a little bit about your book?
A Killing Frost is about a man and a woman called on to place their lives at risk to rescue the man's abducted niece. Thrown together in this way, they're forced to work out the differences--and uncover the secrets--that have threatened to destroy the love they have for each other.

Is there a place you have always wanted to visit? A vacation spot, historical monument, overseas, etc?
As a born explorer, someday I want to explore the world--but just one place at a time, beginning with another trip to Utah Canyonlands...or maybe some Colorado trails. I love the wilderness.

If you could have dinner with 2 people, who would they be?
Girlfriends who like to hold a fun conversation. If I had to have a meal with someone famous or someone I didn't know, I'd be tongue-tied and wouldn't have a good time. Life is stressful enough. I need de-stressing friends to help me through.

What one event would you love to be at? Historical or future?
I'd like to see the event of my birth, and see the joy on the faces of my parents. Their lives were hard, and I'd like to see pure happiness there, and remember that.

Do you have a favorite hobby?
I love to mow lawns with a push mower. Yeah, I know, a little weird, but we writers are weird. I also love to hike, to read, to watch movies with happy endings. And sometimes I even like to write.
Is there something about you most people wouldn't know?
I'm extremely shy. I put on a good front, but I'm basically a hermit.

Do you have any suggestions for the aspiring writer?
The usual. Read all you can in the genre you want to write, and then read books on writing. And just write. Don't think about it, DO it.

Any last thoughts for your readers?
The writing life is hard, but it has many rewards. You probably won't get rich as a novelist, but if you keep your head on straight and do the work that needs to be done, you will be satisfied that you did what you were called to do.

And how can they connect with you?

I LOVE books by Hannah Alexander. They met in a diner on a date. Cheryl wanted to know how to paralyze someone and Mel is a emergency room physician. So they help each other with writing.
