A Comparison of Four Interpretive Translations of the Apocalypse
Intriguing and endlessly contentious ideas and images of apocalyptic measure come together in the book of Revelation. It is a rich and hermeneutically complicated Scripture that, unsurprisingly, has no universally accepted interpretation. Reading Revelation compares these four major approaches to Revelation by laying out the different interpretive translations provided by each school of thought in parallel columns.

MY REVIEW-Like I said above, this was different for me to review. But I really enjoyed it! This is not a book you can sit down and just read through. Mr. Pate uses 5 columns to show the different translations that are given and the different interpretations. I thought this might be almost like a school book that could be used for home-schooling but this is definitely an adult book. Maybe for a college course?
I liked how he put all the interpretations right there on one page for you to read. You have it all right there. If you are someone who likes to study their Bible, this is a book to pick up! Check it out at your bookstore!
I received a copy of this book as part of the Kregel Blog Tours. I received no monetary compensation. All thoughts are 100% mine.
