My Weight Loss Journey

Hey everyone! It is a beautiful day here with just the right amount of wind and sun to make it nice. And guess what, this is the perfect time of year to go walking! That is right, time to exercise with the weather being so nice. If you can't exercise now, there is no better time. I have been on a weight loss diet for a while and I really enjoy walking as my exercise. I recently heard about Favao and the favao weight loss plans are pretty neat. But right now, I want to tell you my plans and tips I have found useful over my journey losing weight.

1.Portion Control
This was my biggest problem when I first started my diet. Do you know how much bigger our portions are in daily life than what they should be? I was amazed and shocked when I actually started doling out portions and measuring them to the required amount. This made a big change in my weight and I loved how I slowly ate less and less. Do make sure you are getting enough that your body doesn't go into starvation mode though.

2.Daily Exercise
I try to exercise five days a week and at least 30 minutes. Whether it is a morning walk, an exercise DVD or going to the gym, I always find a way to work it in. If you don't think you can do thirty minutes, try for ten minutes three times a day. Getting moving is so good for the body and burns calories. This also helps tone your body as you lose weight.

3.Drink A Lot of Water
I have always drank water. And often it was all I would drink for a week. But now I am making sure I get a lot of it and all the time. Don't just drink when you feel thirsty.

4.Motivational Friends
This is something I have in abundance. A partner or friend who can keep you on track and be there for you when you feel the urge to indulge. And then be able to help them out when they need it. Whether it is a person online or someone who is right there like a family member. I can't count the times I have been encouraged to keep going. It really helps!

So, these are some things I have found helpful. I have lost weight and am losing more every week. Loving it! Leae a commetnt with your weight loss tips or your weight loss journey!

This is a sponsored post for Xango, however, all the points and views are my own.

I'm trying to lose weight and it's difficult. I totally agree with you about portion size. It's out of control!! I also recommend the documentary "Super Size Me" with Morgan Spurlock. It's about Morgan eating nothing but McDonalds for one month. Very eye opening and interesting. Yikes! I will never look at fast food the same again. kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.
