Shaving Tips! Aftershave, Razor, Gel??

I don't know how it is for you, but I am the type of person who has to shave every week. Sometimes every couple days depending on how I feel. Many times I have heard people say they can shave once every two weeks but that doesn't cut it for me. Maybe I like to have a closer shave, I don't know:) On the other hand, one friend of mine had to have surgery the other day and she wasn't able to shave for several days in advance. She figured she would look like a hairy woman by the time she was able to shave again:D I bring all this up as I am giving some tips on shaving today. Everything from my favorite razor, gel or cream, aftershave, etc.

#1.Love That Close Shave.
I personally like a straight razor. My favorite one is a cheaper razor that doesn't have the angles and all the fancy doodads on it. I do like the ones with the moisture strips. This helps with keeping your skin nice and supple as you are shaving. Don't go out and buy the most expensive razor just because it is higher priced. Make sure you like it first!

#2.Gotta Go With the Gel!
I don't know about you, but I have to have a gel for shaving. I have used shaving cream before but my top pick would be the gel. I love the scented ones but I also have to have one for sensitive skin. I had one gel a couple years ago that my skin reacted to one time so I picked one that I know works and I like. Now I just stick with that one. I don't go buy a new one just because of a new scent, etc. Stick with one you like!

#3.Must Have Moisture:)
This one was kind of something I thought most people knew but it is amazing how many people I have met who don't use a moisturizer. Whether you use a lotion, an oil, etc. there is nothing like making sure your skin is nice and soft. It needs that extra moisture after a shave as you are cutting your hair. I like to use a lotion beforehand and then afterwards as well.

Do you have a tip for me? Maybe your favorite gel? Or a new razor that you just have to shave with? Leave a comment and let me know!
