Chicken Salad Chick Restaurant Visit with #Review

I am so excited to share with you all today about a restaurant I was able to visit recently. I am telling you all, this has got to be one of my favorite top three restaurants to ever visit! I was very impressed with the food, the service, and the overall vibe of the eatery. May I present to you, Chicken Salad Chick!

The closest location to me was about a 30 minute drive, but believe me when I tell you it was well worth it, and I would gladly drive it once a week, just to grab a quick bite at this place. Now I know you all are wondering what the big deal is about a restaurant that serves chicken salad. Readers, this is not just, "another place that sells chicken". This is an eatery that not only delivers the freshest, most delicious tasting chicken salad I have ever eaten, but they do it all in a style you don't often get, and all made new every morning!

When I arrived I was impressed first of all by the exterior and interior of the restaurant. This is a very classy, upscale looking location, full of southern charm. You walk in and feel at home right away between the beautiful decor to the friendly welcome given by the employees. Loved it from the start!

For my review, I was given the option to choose anything I wanted, which was so hard! They have salads, wraps, chicken salad in a cup or on bread, and sides that would make you salivate. I finally chose The Chick as a trio. The Chick is one scoop of either their chicken salad or their pimento salad along with one side. When you upgrade to the trio you get to choose three items. So I picked out Lauryn's Lemon Basil, Buffalo Barclay and Classic Carol.

My friend chose the Dixie Chick and Fancy Nancy. We also were able to choose sides, I requested the Mac "n Cheese and she chose the soup of the day, which was Broccoli Cheddar. Each trio comes with a pickle, crackers and a sugar cookie. Now you can also get the scoop on bread as a sandwich, but we decided to go without and just scoop with our crackers.

Once you place your order you get to go sit down, choosing a seat inside or a table out in the beautiful weather, though we opted for a booth indoors. They brought out our food once it was ready, and we were excited to dig in. First I want to tell you about the flavor we both chose as the number one favorite. Then I will give a little bit about the other flavors and extras we received. Now our favorite? By far we decided that Lauryn's Lemon Basil was the flavor we could eat forever.

This is just so refreshing! You get the perfect blend of chicken that is mingled together with fresh basil and lemon, all topped off with the crunch of chopped pecans. Oh my word! Talk about a burst of fresh! This is amazing and I would travel the distance just to get a container of this.

The next favorite was the Dixie Chick. They call it their, "most offensive" flavor because it is full of onion, but wow it was good! Definitely brimming with onion tang, it was delicious.

The other flavors included the Classic Carol, their base to which they add all the other ingredients, the Buffalo Barclay, which I am sure you can guess is spicy with a buffalo wing kick, and the Fancy Nancy, which is dressed to the nines with apples and grapes and pecans.

Now if that all was not enough, the manager brought over samples of several other flavors, and more of their sides! We had so many leftovers that those back at the house were able to reap the benefits from our visit.

And believe me, Lauryn's Lemon Basil was still the favorite by those back home. The options they have available range from the classic to the wild, with combinations you would normally never put together but once you try it, you realize this chain has amazing insight.

Before I am done, I want to rave about the manager for a minute. Stephanie was a super hostess, stopping by our table without hovering, sharing all the tasty tidbits about the food and how it is made. Shhhh, we can't divulge their secret ingredient, but it was great learning more about the ideas behind the design. Stephanie is outgoing, knowing exactly when to drop by a table or when to hang back. I saw her bringing food out to customers, wiping off a table and making sure that the store ran smoothly. Definitely an asset to the chain!

Please, please, check out the Chicken Salad Chick website and see if there is a location near you. They have amazing food and it is well worth your trip! We will most definitely be back in the near future.
