My First, But Not Last, Schwan's Order! @SchwansIgnited @usfg

Remember the post I did last month about the deal Schwan's was having? I also told you I would be trying it out and letting you all know how good it was. Well, here it is. And let me just warn you, if you haven't eaten yet, don't look below!!

I always thought of Schwan's as just doing ice cream. I knew they delivered in this area and their truck drives down our road probably twice a month. But I have never had them stop here. And I was really excited to be able to review their food products. I received a $25 gift certificate to order whatever I wanted off their website. It was really, really hard to decide on my order!! Even with getting the coupon deal as a first time customer, I spent over that. But it all worked out in the end for grocery money anyways. I finally chose the Black Cherry Frozen Yogurt, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream, Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, Fire Grilled Chicken Breast Fajita Meat and the Six Cheese Tortellini.

I ordered over Labor Day weekend and received my food that Tuesday. I was really surprised! I expected it to be a week later with the holidays but it was only a few days. I also like that I can choose a delivery time. They give like a two hour window.

You can also choose to leave a freezer bag on the porch and they can just put your food in this bag. I chose to have it home delivered and they were right on time. The two gentlemen that came up were very helpful in getting my food to the door, along with catalogs and any other information I might need.

Now that night we got into the ice cream and frozen yogurt;) It was hard to resist it even sitting in the freezer!

And when we pulled these out, the whole family was able to dig in. The ice cream tasted amazing but my favorite was the frozen yogurt. Delicious and better for you than the ice cream:)

Over the next few weeks I made the other meals, including Chicken Fajita's, Chicken over salad, tortellini, etc. I had a hard time choosing a favorite between the fajita meat and the chicken breast.

The fajita meat is seasoned like you wouldn't believe! But it isn't very spicy which was good. My mother doesn't care for spicy foods and we were worried it might be too hot but she enjoyed it more than anyone in the family. She is diabetic and this is one of her favorite meats now.

The chicken breast is nice and cleaned so you don't have to worry about the junk you normally find in your chicken. They are good sized pieces and fed each of us with some left over. Their food is a bit pricey but the quality if well worth it. We even ordered some more when they stopped by next time. Schwan's is definitely a company I enjoy working with and look forward to doing it again in the future.
