Hi everyone! I am so happy today. You see, our internet is back up and running:) You really don't realize how much you appreciate something until it is gone. And believe me, for someone who runs a blog, that internet is a must-have! I apologize to you all who have gone without my giveaways the past week. It has been a real pain and thankfully we live on the border of states so I was able to run into town on the other side and at least post.
Today I have a review and giveaway for 20 Mule Team Borax. What a name huh? I wasn't too sure how I would like it or if it would work well in our house. But I was game to try it and I am sooo glad I did! The giveaway will be for three winners so make sure to enter after you read my review.
I received a box of 20 Mule Team Borax and three coupons. This is a box of cleaner and I thought it was only for the laundry. But boy was I wrong! After opening the protective plastic it was in(thank you for that!) I immediately read the different things this can be used for. And talk about a lot! You can use it in your laundry, dishwasher, to remove stains, in the toilet, etc. I would think you might want a couple boxes though if you use it in your dishwasher and your toilet:)
I used mine for the laundry. We do not have the worst water here but it is not something we drink. Our washer is an LE and I did make sure the Borax could be used in it. It says it is safe for any washer and I had no problems with my front load washer. So, I opened it up and checked out the directions. I do wish they were a little more specific. All it says is to mix with your detergent. Well, my detergent goes in a top little dish and needless to say, it didn't work very well the first time. I put in half a cup, the amount they tell you, and it was too much. I still had some left when it was done running, enough for two more loads. It was definitely worth putting it in. I noticed a difference in the way my clothing felt and smelled. It really did turn out better.
So is this something I will purchase again in the future? Maybe. I think once I try it out on other cleaning tasks I will decide. But three of my readers will be able to try out a box of Borax for themselves. The coupon is good until 9/31/14. Giveaway will end 6/27. Winners will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond. USA ONLY.

I don't know for certain, but I believe we do.
We do have hard water, but it's not as bad as it could be.
I've used Borax for years. When you put it in the washer, put it right in the drum with the clothes. It works better
Thank you Donna! I had such a hard time figuring it out and they aren't very clear on directions:)
we don't have hard water
I really dont know if we do or not - most likely we do.
I am not sure.
I don't think the water where I live is hard. Thanks for the giveaway! :)
I have no idea, but I do know it leaves a weird water stain in my toilet but no where else. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!

According to the Culligan man who wanted to sell us a 5k system, we do. However, we love our water.
