Quick Sides with Minute Steamers! R&G

I am sure many of you are like us. Hectic with running around you don't feel like putting a lot into meals. That is where something like this comes in handy. Enter Minute Rice Steamers!! These are a great new product that I will definitely be purchasing in the future and I have a wonderful giveaway for one of my readers. This is something you will want to be using on those nights you don't have a lot of time to cook up a big meal.

Minute® Steamers *** contain rice that is fully cooked in a convenientself-ventilating bag which makes it easy to have perfectly cooked, moist rice all the time.  How easy?

Simply remove the bag from the freezer, place in your microwave and steam for 4 minutes. You don't have to add anything, spend a long time cooking or dirty a pan. During the steaming process, the special self-ventilating bag will inflate and then deflate when the bag is removed from the microwave.

I received three coupons for my review. Our local Walmart didn't carry a lot of them, so I got one of the Brown and Wild Rice and two of the Macaroni and Cheese. I was really hoping to try the Broccoli and Cheese but none of the stores here carried it. I will be getting it once I can find it nearby:)

The Brown and Wild Rice was my first try. I did all three of these as a side to our pork chops. With 8 in the family I figured we would need all of them:) I was surprised at how many in the family tried the brown rice. Normally when I just cook up rice, I do a little brown rice for those who like it and then white rice for the rest of the family. But 5 of them tried it!! I guess it looked that good.

I could tell from smelling it as it cooked that it would be good and boy was I right. The flavor in this was awesome! I loved the rich grainy taste and that wild rice really added to the brown rice.

Let me just tell you, the Mac and Cheese was the favorite by far, other than me, I liked the Brown and Wild Rice better. This macaroni and cheese is creamy, cheesy and delicious. What more can you ask for in mac and cheese! The children compared it to a much more expensive brand and said they liked this one better. I would be hard put to find a better one.

The thing I like most about these new steamers is the ease of using them. Pull the bag out of the freezer, stick it upright on a microwave safe plate and then heat it for 4 minutes. No waiting for the water to boil, no hoping it turns out okay, etc. Four minutes and you have a side. I was done in 15 minutes or less doing all three of them. Quick and easy you can use these anytime. I would be tempted to have this as a quick lunch for myself as well. Could be used anytime.

Readers, one of you will be receiving the sweet prize pack pictured above. This includes a coupon for a free product as well:) Whoever wins this will love it!

This giveaway will end 1/4. Winner will be chosen through Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen.
According to FTC Disclosures, I received coupons for free product in exchange for my review. I did not receive any monetary compensation and all thoughts are 100% mine.
